After-School Program Information

After School Adventures Await!

At the Fort Smith Boys & Girls Club, we're dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment where young minds can thrive. With our After-School Program, your child will experience:

  • A safe place to learn and grow

  • On-going relationships with caring adults

  • Life-enhancing programs and character-development experiences

  • Hope and opportunity for a brighter future

Our doors are open to anyone between the ages of six (6) and eighteen (18). As a drop-in youth services organization, we offer a vibrant array of opportunities including recreation, making new friends, engaging in athletic programs, structured activities, and interacting with our dedicated FSBGC staff who provide supervision and guidance.

When Fort Smith schools are open, our hours are 3:00PM-6:00PM, Monday - Friday.

When Fort Smith schools are closed, our hours are 7:45AM-5:15PM, Monday-Friday.

Transportation

The Fort Smith Boys & Girls Club provides limited transportation to Club members after school. Because the Fort Smith public schools do not offer bus transportation for elementary students (except for special cases) many children cannot access the Club after-school. Through the program, the FSBGC van picks up students at their school and transports them to the Boys & Girls Club. In 2008, the Club started a pilot program at Cavanaugh Elementary school, transporting 28 kids per day to the Evans unit. The shuttle program has expanded to 23 schools and four vans.

  • Availability is first come first serve. Limit 14 per school.

  • There is a $35 fee per semester.

  • All participants must have a current Fort Smith Boys & Girls Club membership card ($30).

  • Please note some Clubs have a waiting list. The Boys & Girls Club plans to add more schools to the list once additional transportation vans become available. Logo van wraps courtesy of United Federal Credit Union.

Parents are responsible for picking up their child from the club before closing time.
